macOS ( > 10.9)

Download the latest DMG disk image for Siril and follow the instructions. In the case where the dmg file does not work, please consider to download the zip file here then drag and drop the application to your Applications folder. Keep in mind that this latter method does not provide any script files, you will need to install them by yourself.

macOS Homebrew

Siril can be installed through Homebrew:
$ brew install siril

Windows (64bit)

  • Thanks to a French Siril user (Colmic) there are now two possible methods to install Siril. The first one is based upon an installer that will install Siril and also some very useful scripts in the right place. If you did previously manually installed the 0.9.9 version, some conflicts may occur. Please remove old Siril application and also the siril directory located in %AppData%. It is important to read all messages during installation: download automatic installation.
  • As usual we provide an archive with all the needed files in it. We recommend you create a shortcut for the executable at any convenient place. The executable is in the subdirectory bin and is named siril.exe: download archive.

FreeBSD

Siril is available in the FreeBSD Ports Collection. It can be installed, pre-compiled, from the standard package repository. To install Siril on your system, run
# pkg install astro/siril

SVN or git version

Siril sources are available through a SVN/git repository, but keep in mind that using the development version of Siril might be risky in that it can break anytime. Currently, only the 0.9 branch is stable enough to be used. You need to use the following commands to clone SIRIL.
svn co https://free-astro.org/svn/siril/branches/0.9 Siril-0.9
or you can use the mirror on gitlab:
git clone https://gitlab.com/lock042/Siril-0.9.git
Then do
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ sudo make instal
